Lagos Corps Member Executes Asepsis Initiative Project

Lagos Corps member , Adewole Adetutu Rhoda, has carried the Asepsis Initiative project as part of the National Youth Service corps, NYSC Community Development service, CDS.
The Lagos Corps member, Adewole Adetutu Rhoda with state code LA/23A/9915 is a member of the SDG CDs group, NYSC Lagos.
The Project focused on SDG goals 3 and 6—clean water and sanitation and good health and well-being.
The initiative aimed to address the impact of climate change in various locations, including Odusanmi Street, Bob-Oluwa Street, AbisOgun Leigh Street, Eniola Salami Street, Darinjo, and Adeniyi Street in Ogba.
The project statrted on August 15, 2023, with awareness campaigns and sanitation activities, ended on February 13, 2024, with advocacy efforts.
Throughout the initiative, essential activities such as picking recyclables, sanitation, proper waste disposal, and advocacy were undertaken in the designated areas.
Noteworthy partnerships were formed with RPL, LAWMA, and the Ministry of Environment to strengthen the project’s impact.
The event witnessed the presence of NYSC staff, including Zonal Inspector (Ikeja zone) Mrs. Ufochukwu, Mr. Olawoye Mufutau (CDS), Sanni Adeshola (LGI IKEJA1), the CDA chairman, community leaders, and members.
