Lagos Coordinator Re-Echoes Nysc Dg’s Stance On Use Of Social Media

Following the NYSC Director-General’s virtual address to corps members yesterday night, State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Christiana Salmwang, has re-echoed the stance of the Director-General on social media to corps members undergoing the 2025 Batch “A” Stream I this morning.
Speaking to the corps members, Mrs Christiana Salmwang advised them to stay away from social media activities that may cause embarrassment to the scheme and the nation.
She also reminded them of their Oath of Allegiance which they swore to during the Swearing-in ceremony, calling on them for the observance of the codes of conduct governing the Orientation Camp and beyond.
She urged them to be patriotic, emphasizing that the NYSC is duty-bound to commend them if they have done well and to register its displeasure when they have not done well.
She encouraged them to open up to officials on their challenges as personnel are on ground to counsel them instead of breaking rules.
Mrs Salmwang commended the Corps Members for their conduct since their arrival on camp. She praised them for the level of discipline they exhibited and for the successful Swearing-in ceremony.
Calling for utmost discipline, she said recalcitrance will be disciplined and bad habits such as indescriminate disposal of waste is frowned at. She urged them to dispose waste at designated areas and proper use of toilet facilities, keeping the camp environment clean, not falling below the standards which the camp operates.
She reiterated on the need to report themselves to the camp clinic when sick instead of covering it up.
She hinted that when in doubt about anything in camp, they could ask officials for clarification instead of relying on their colleagues for information.
She advised them to love one another and avoid any act that will bring disunity in the camp.
