Lagos Collaborating Agencies Tasked with Heightened Security Measures for 2024 Batch “A” Orientation Course

In anticipation of the upcoming NYSC 2024 Batch “A” Orientation Course, slated to commence on February 15, 2024, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the State Coordinator of NYSC Lagos, today emphasized the importance of bolstering security measures among the Collaborating Agencies of the Scheme in Lagos.
Addressing members of the Collaborating Agencies during a meeting with the Head of Committees for the Course, Mrs. Baderinwa underscored the need for stringent security protocols to ensure the smooth execution of the Orientation Course.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by these agencies in maintaining NYSC Lagos as a commendable host for corps members, despite its substantial population, Mrs. Baderinwa urged officials present to strive for a lasting impact on the Corps Members participating in the upcoming Course.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kayode Osinubi, the designated Camp Director for the Batch, who will temporarily assume the position from his role as Head of Deployment and Relocation, stressed the importance of maintaining integrity in the registration process. He charged the Registration Committee and security personnel to promptly address any attempts to circumvent the system, in accordance with the NYSC Acts.

Additionally, Mr. Osinubi advocated for a campaign against night travel to parks and transportation hubs, aimed at minimizing potential hazards faced by Prospective Corps Members.
Contributing to the discussions, Major I. M. Ibrahim, the Camp Commandant for the Course, expressed confidence in delivering a memorable experience. He assured attendees of his readiness to address any shortcomings and encouraged a culture of discipline and mutual respect among all security agencies involved.
The collective efforts of these agencies underscore a commitment to ensuring the safety and success of the 2024 Batch “A” Orientation Course, reaffirming NYSC Lagos’s reputation for excellence in hosting Corps Members.
