LAGOS CAMP: NYSC Lagos Celebrate Cultural Carnival in Grand Style

The 2023 Batch “C” Stream I Orientation Course Cultural carnival has taken in grand style at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, as fun and entertainment filled the camp, leaving the community immersed in beautiful colours.

The cultural festival is an avenue to celebrate and elevate the beauty of diversity in camp, the Cultural Carnival which held on saturday had many entertaining programmes such as songs, chants, playlets, dances and languages for the enjoyment of all.

In an inter-platoon competition, the following cultural presentations were made; Eyo Dance from Lagos, Bata Dance from Oyo, Ohafia War Dance from Abia, Fisherman Dance from Rivers/Bayelsa, Afizere(Asharawa) from Jos, Argungu from Kebbi, Sabada Idoma Dance from Benue, Ekombi Dance from Akwa-Ibom, Nkwa Umu Agbogo from Ebonyi and Ugho Dance from Edo.

The Platoon who replicated the most beautiful culture on camp, Platoon 8 came first, Platoon 9 came second, while Platoon 5 replicated Fisherman dance, coming third in the competition
