Kristin Cabot Resigns From Astronomer After Viral Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal

Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer at tech firm Astronomer, has officially stepped down following the fallout from a now-viral incident at a Coldplay concert that rocked the company’s leadership.
On July 16, Cabot was spotted on the kiss cam at a Coldplay show in Massachusetts alongside then-CEO Andy Byron. The two, both reportedly married to other people, appeared intimately close as they tried to hide their faces. The moment gained even more attention when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked onstage, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
The clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread backlash. In response, Astronomer placed both Byron and Cabot on administrative leave while conducting an internal investigation. Byron resigned as CEO on July 19, and Cabot’s departure was confirmed shortly after.
