Kano Set to Receive President Tinubu Friday on Condolence Visit

Kano State is set to receive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR Friday 18th July, 2025 to condole with the government and people of Kano, as well as the family of the late elder statesman, business mogul, and philanthropist, late Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Thursday.
The visit follows the recent passing of the highly respected industrialist, whose legacy of service, generosity, and investment spanned decades and touched countless lives across Nigeria.
Governor Yusuf described the visit as a show of national unity and respect for the people of Kano and the legacy of the late Aminu Alasan Dantata.
He called on residents to welcome the President in line with the State’s tradition of hospitality, dignity and respect for leaders.
“This is a moment of solemn reflection and national respect,” the Governor said.
“I urge all Kano residents to receive the President warmly and in an orderly manner, as he joins us in mourning one of our greatest elderstateman.”
Security and other logistics arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and dignified visit.
