Kano Government Sponsors 58 Inmates for 2025 NECO Exams

Fifty-eight inmates in Kano are currently taking part in the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination, according to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa, said the achievement was made possible through the Kano State Government’s full payment of registration fees.
“The gesture is a testament to the state government’s commitment to the welfare, rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of inmates in the command,” Kofar-Nasarawa said.
He commended Governor Abba Yusuf for the continued support, describing it as a morale booster that gives inmates a second chance at education and hope for a better future.
“The NCoS Kano State Command remains committed to providing a conducive environment for the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates. We are proud to have the support of the Kano State Government in this endeavour,” the statement added.
