Olayiwola Rasheed Emmanuel, a hopeful for the leadership of Agege Local Government, has outlined a comprehensive plan to address the community’s challenges shortly after obtaining nomination to run for the office of the Local Government Chairman.
Mr. Emmanuel’s vision focuses on education, inclusive governance, and security.
“Fellow citizens of Agege Local Government, we face significant challenges, but I, Olayiwola Rasheed Emmanuel, is determined to bring hope and change.”
He emphasized education as a key priority, promising to implement:
“Free basic education, vocational training, and adult education programs… Every child, youth, and adult deserves access to quality education and skills training.”
Emmanuel also highlighted the importance of inclusive governance:
“We will surround ourselves with capable individuals who share our vision for a better Agege. Together, we will drive impactful change and identify talents for sustainable development and governance.”
On security, he proposed: “An innovative Homeland Security Bye-Law, engaging communities in crime prevention. Landlords, Communities, and Religious institutions will be active stakeholders in ensuring our safety.”
Emmanuel concluded, “I am committed to building systems that solve problems. Let’s work together to create a brighter future for Agege.”
He ended with a rallying cry, _”Sebe le ma sun?”_ (“Can things not get better?”), answering, “Yes, things can get better, and we will make it happen together.”
“Teba sope omo nkan-kan”(“Let’s work together to achieve greatness”) became his mantra for collective progress.
