Actor and singer Jigan Babaoja has cried out over threats to his life after his private phone number was leaked online.

In a post shared on Instagram, the 42-year-old claimed the threats are tied to ongoing drama surrounding a WhatsApp group allegedly formed after Mohbad’s death.

“This is pure bullying just to prove a point,” he wrote. “You gave out my number so people could call and threaten me—exactly what was done to the late Mohbad.”

Jigan appealed to the Nigerian police for protection, warning that he won’t allow himself to be silenced.

“Before you kpai me like you kpai Mohbad, I’ll use every resource around me to fight back against bullying and oppression,” he added. “Some of those behind these threats will become scapegoats.”

He also expressed fear of being attacked in public: “The number of threats I receive shows they’re ready to come for me even on the street. But I’m alert and prepared.”

His outcry comes shortly after media personality VeryDarkMan accused him of being part of a secret WhatsApp group allegedly created by Iyabo Ojo after Mohbad’s death—alongside Tonto Dikeh, Dre DMW, and Olamilekan Eletu, Sam Larry’s brother.

Although Jigan had earlier challenged VeryDarkMan to release the full group chat, he later stated he no longer owed anyone an explanation.
