JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Resit Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) rescheduled for candidates who faced technical issues during the main exam.
The resit was conducted for 336,845 candidates across 157 centers, mostly in Lagos and parts of the South-East. However, 21,082 candidates were absent.
JAMB confirmed that the results were thoroughly reviewed by external examiners and validated through a psychometric analysis led by Prof. Boniface Nworgu, an expert in educational assessment.
Highlights:
- Underage Candidates: Results for underage candidates have been released but are not valid for admission. These candidates had earlier signed an agreement acknowledging their ineligibility.
- Candidates Involved in Malpractice: In a one-time move, JAMB has released the results of candidates linked to online exam malpractice, including those who participated in “WhatsApp runs.” The board warned that future misconduct would not be tolerated.
- Mop-Up Exam: A mop-up test will be conducted for candidates who missed both the main and rescheduled UTME.
How to Check Results
Candidates can check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number used during registration. Standard SMS charges apply.
For more information, candidates are advised to visit the official JAMB website.
