Iran Vows to Press Ahead With Nuclear Programme Despite US, Israeli Strikes

Iran has vowed to continue its nuclear programme in defiance of mounting pressure and military strikes from both the United States and Israel, which have targeted key uranium enrichment sites in recent days.
Speaking on state television Tuesday, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation, Mohammad Eslami, said Iran had taken precautionary measures to ensure its nuclear activities remain uninterrupted, even after recent attacks damaged its infrastructure.
“We have taken the necessary measures and are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attacks,” Eslami said.
“Plans for restarting operations at the affected facilities had been prepared in advance. Our priority is to maintain continuity in production and essential services.”
The U.S. military, acting under the orders of President Donald Trump, carried out airstrikes on Fordo, Isfahan, and Natanz nuclear sites on Sunday. Trump hailed the operation as a “spectacular military success,” although the full extent of the damage has yet to be officially confirmed.
In a defiant response, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that the country still possesses substantial stockpiles of enriched uranium and warned that “the game is not over.”
Meanwhile, Israel confirmed on Monday that it had conducted an additional strike on the Fordo facility, aimed at blocking access to the heavily fortified underground site south of Tehran.
Despite mounting international tension, Iranian officials remain resolute, framing the nuclear programme as a matter of national sovereignty and strategic resilience.
