Iran Leader, Khamenei Vows Harsh Response to Israel After Trump Calls for Iran’s Total Surrender

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has vowed that Iran will show no mercy to Israel’s leadership, just hours after former U.S. President Donald Trump called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

“We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy,” Khamenei declared in a post on X on Wednesday.

The statement comes amid rapidly escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. Last week, Israel launched a wave of airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, military positions, and residential neighborhoods.

In response, Iran fired multiple missiles and drones, and on Wednesday claimed to have deployed hypersonic missiles against Israel.

Khamenei’s declaration followed Trump’s comments a day earlier, in which the former president not only demanded Iran’s complete surrender but also suggested that the U.S. could assassinate Khamenei with ease.
