The Ikwo community in Nnewi, Anambra State, at the weekend hosted the State Coordinator of the C-Sagas Charity Foundation, Dr. Obisi Nweke, during a two-day event, marking the 2025 New Yam Festival.
The event, which blended cultural celebration with community engagement, provided an opportunity for members of the Ikwo diaspora to commend the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts and reaffirm their commitment to its programmes.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Sunday Iteshi, CEO of Igwe and Lolo Continental Dishes (Nnewi branch), said the community had long desired to receive Dr. Nweke in their midst in order to formally appreciate his role in advancing the mission of the Foundation.
According to Mr. Iteshi, the C-Sagas Charity Foundation, has attained international recognition under Dr. Nweke’s leadership, particularly for its work in grassroots development and social welfare.
“This visit has strengthened the bond among stakeholders and enhanced our collective resolve to support the Foundation’s goals,” Mr. Iteshi said.
He pledged the group’s continued support for the Foundation’s activities and praised its founder and CEO, Arc. Dr. Nwali, who holds the traditional title of Okpata Ozua Oha 1 of Echara Nkpoke, was commended for establishing a platform that, according to attendees, has significantly impacted lives across communities.
Mr. Iteshi also acknowledged the contributions of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, crediting him for fostering a climate of peace that enables civic and developmental initiatives to thrive.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Chief Sunday Obasi (Ononando 1) and his wife, Mr. Mathew Nweke, and other supporters and affiliates of the C-Sagas Charity Foundation.
