IGP Deploys New CPs, Urges Professionalism and Strong Leadership

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has charged newly deployed Commissioners of Police to exhibit high levels of professionalism and provide quality leadership as they assume duties in their respective state commands.
This directive was disclosed in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Saturday, following the recent approval of strategic postings across the country.
According to the statement, the new deployments, which take immediate effect, are part of the IGP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internal security, enhance the operational capacity of the Force, and maintain law and order nationwide.
Those affected in the latest posting include:
• CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid, psc – Borno State Command
• CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua, psc – Cross River State Command
• CP Dahiru Mohammed – Jigawa State Command
• CP Adebowale Lawal – Ondo State Command
• CP Ibrahim Gotan – Osun State Command
• CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo – Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters
• CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin – FCID Annex, Gombe State, as CP General Investigation
The IGP emphasized that the appointments are designed to tap into the wealth of policing experience of the officers to drive effective law enforcement and community safety across the country.
Reassuring Nigerians of the Police Force’s unwavering commitment to national security, the Inspector-General called for sustained cooperation between the police and members of the public in the collective fight against crime.
The statement further reaffirmed the Force’s resolve to build safer communities through strategic leadership and people-oriented policing.
