Group Endorses Nwifuru, Emegha For Second Tenure

Group knowns as Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for Second Tenure Assembly (FON-SET) has endorsed the governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and state Chairman of the all Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha for second tenure.
The group made the endorsement today when they visited Chief Emegha at his office in Abakaliki.
Speaking on behalf of the members, the National President of the group, Comrade Moses Obia said they came to officially endorse Governor Nwifuru and Chief Emegha for second tenure in office.
He said their move was motivated by the groundbreaking achievements and leadership ingenuity of the governor and Emegha, adding that they have performed excellently in office and so deserve another tenure.
“Our dear Chairman, our governor, Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has made us proud with life-touching achievements since assumption of office. We have been seeing your track record since. You became the chairman of the party and peace and unity returned fully to the party. Your leadership ingenuity and that of the governor’s is why opposition members in the state collapsed their parties and joined the ruling APC.
“We have our members across the 171 wards in the state and many of us have held one political position of the other. We are grassroot mobilisers and ready to deliver the governor for second tenure”.
“We don’t also have another chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming party’s congresses. We are happy that the state governor has endorsed you for second tenure as party chairman and we are here to support the decision of the governor who is the leader of the party”.
Responding, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha warmly welcomed the group and commended their move. He said supporting Governor Nwifuru for second tenure was what any right thinking Ebonyian should do, stressing that the governor has been matching words with actions, delivering on his campaign promises rooted in the people’s charter of needs.
“Your endorsement is a nice move because Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is a promise keeper and has been delivering on his campaign promises. I thank you for your support to the governor.
“Returning Governor Nwifuru for second term is a collective responsibility which every right thinking Ebonyian must support, given that the governor has performed excellently since he assumed office.
“Do not arrogate God’s power to yourself by thinking or saying that only you can return me and the governor. It has to do with collective efforts. Only God has power to do anything alone, not humans.
“Party has come and ended. What is paramount now is governance. Therefore, give all your supports to see that the governor succeeds.
“Governor Nwifuru hates sycophants. Do your work and let it come from your heart. That money you would use to mouth billboard with governor’s picture to notice you, use it and visit motherless babies home because what you do for them is what you have done for the governor. He’s highly interested in your good deeds for others especially the less privileged.
“The students the governor sent abroad for postgraduate studies is one of the biggest investments the governor has made in the recent time which will stand the test of time. They are youths like you. You can see that the governor has the interest of the youths at heart and he’s highly committed to empowering them.
“Be yourself and do your part and avoid anything that will give the state a bad name”, Chief Emegha stated.
The group used the opportunity and honoured Chief Emegha with an award in recognition of his outstanding leadership quality as the best performed APC Chairman.
