Governor Uzodimma Raises Imo Minimum Wage To ₦104,000

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved a new minimum wage of ₦104,000 for civil servants in the state, alongside a salary increase for medical doctors to ₦582,000 per month.
Uzodimma made the announcement during a meeting with state workers at the Government House in Owerri, explaining that the wage review was made possible by improved internally generated revenue and higher federal allocations.
He said the new pay structure is designed to boost workers’ morale, enhance productivity, and stimulate the state’s economy.
The governor also revealed plans to release ₦16 billion to clear outstanding gratuity arrears owed to pensioners in the state.
