Governor Donates 25 Patrol Vehicles and Surveillance Drones to Police

The Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun has donated 25 patrol vehicles to the State Police Command and acquired surveillance drone to monitor criminal activities.
The Governor in a statement noted that the donation is to commemorate the official working visit of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.

“To commemorate the official working visit of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, who is also a proud son of Ogun State, we have donated 25 patrol vehicles to the State Police Command and acquired surveillance drones to monitor criminal activities”.
According to him, “We plan to strengthen the Security Trust Fund by purchasing more gadgets and enhancing security personnel allowances. We commend the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, for aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and integrating surveillance technology to tackle banditry and terrorism”.
“Over the past four and a half years, we have procured over 100 patrol vehicles, motorcycles, and 300 communication gadgets for security agencies”.
“We acknowledge Egbetokun’s leadership, capacity enhancement, motivation of personnel, and commitment to community policing. We also appreciate the police authority’s infrastructural development efforts, including a new police headquarters building and technical units” he added
