Governor Dikko Radda To Begin Three-Week Medical Leave, Deputy Governor To Take Over Duties

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State will begin a three-week medical leave starting August 18, the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr Bala Salisu-Zango, announced on Thursday in Katsina.

Radda assured that he is committed to returning with renewed energy to serve the people of the state.

“I want to thank everyone for their kind words and ongoing support. Taking the necessary steps to prioritise my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state. I look forward to returning to my duties as soon as I finish my medical checkup,” the governor said.

Dr Salisu-Zango added that to maintain seamless governance during the period, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe will take over the responsibilities of the office.
