Governor Adeleke Surprises Bright Chimezie With Heartfelt Video Call During Davido’s Royal Dinner
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, made a memorable virtual appearance during a special dinner hosted by Afrobeats star Davido in honor of highlife legend Bright Chimezie on Monday, May 19, 2025
The private Lagos event, filled with cultural pride and touching moments, was organized by Davido to celebrate the iconic South-East musician. But one of the standout highlights of the evening came when Governor Adeleke—known for his vibrant personality—joined the celebration via video call.
In a now-viral clip, Bright Chimezie lit up with joy as he greeted the governor in Igbo, playfully praising his famous dance moves and showering him with admiration.
Governor Adeleke responded warmly, saying, “You are loved, sir,” a moment that captured hearts across social media as a genuine show of cultural respect.
The surprise call added a deeply personal and emotional touch to the night, which was already rich with tradition and music. The celebration also featured Davido’s wife, Chioma, engaging warmly with Bright Chimezie in Igbo, further amplifying the evening’s charm and authenticity.
