Governor Abba Assures Residents of Progress in 2025

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has extended his New Year greetings to residents living in the state and in the diaspora, expressing optimism that 2025 will be a year of progress.
He declared this in a statement released by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, praising the resilience of Kano residents in overcoming the challenges of 2024 and reaffirming them of his administration’s commitment to driving meaningful development in the new year.
Governor Abba pledged to complete ongoing road projects, expand healthcare facilities, improve educational standards, and provide farmers with resources to boost food production and reduce costs. He gave the timely approval of the 2025 budget as a crucial catalyst towards achieving that.
The governor reiterated his administration’s focus on education, noting that 31% of the 2025 budget has been allocated to the sector to sustain the reforms initiated under the declared state of emergency on education.
The governor called on Kano residents to remain united and supportive of the government’s vision, expressing confidence that 2025 would mark a transformative period with improved living standards and greater economic opportunities for all.
