The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has approved the construction of a 3000 Capacity Multipurpose Hall, and donated the sum of five million naira to the Corps members for transportation at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi.
This was contained in his farewell address to Corps members during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch A Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi on Tuesday 7th May, 2024.
While assuring the Corps members that Nasarawa State is an ideal place to live and work, Engr.
Sule urged Corps members to adhere strictly to the security guidelines and safety measures as stated by the State Coordinator. He further admonished Corps members to keenly explore the possibilities of a meaningful service year in Nasarawa State.
“Contribute wholeheartedly to the progress of the communities you would serve. Your service goes beyond mere duty. It is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of the State”.
Earlier, while wishing the Corps members a fruitful service year, the Nasarawa State Coordinator, Abdullahi Ahmad Jikamshi, appealed to Corps Employers to assist Corps members in settling down on time. He urged Corps Employers to utilise adequately the skills of Corps members and to keep them gainfully occupied.
The highlight of the event was the governor’s announcement of the approval of a multipurpose hall with a capacity of three thousand and a donation of five million naira to the corps members as transportation allowance to their various destinations.
In Nasarawa, a total of two thousand, one hundred and fifty-four Corps members successfully completed the 2024 Batch A Stream II Orientation Course.
