Godwin Nnadiekwe’s Management Shares Health Update Following On-Set Incident with Zubby Michael

The management of fast-rising Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has released an official statement updating the public on his health status following a recent on-set altercation involving fellow actor Zubby Michael.
According to earlier reports, Nnadiekwe was hospitalized after he was struck by Zubby Michael during a film shoot. In a new statement, Nnadiekwe’s team clarified that the actor’s condition may have been aggravated by a pre-existing injury he sustained late last year.
The statement revealed that Nnadiekwe suffered a serious chest injury on December 22, 2023, during a gym accident in which a weight fell on him. That incident required nearly two months of recovery and may have made him more vulnerable to the recent impact.
Part of the statement reads:
“We are sharing an important update regarding actor Godwin Nnadiekwe. On December 22, 2023, Godwin sustained a severe chest injury due to a gym accident involving a fallen weight. This incident necessitated a two-month recovery period.”
The management team also used the moment to highlight the importance of empathy and awareness of the silent battles people may be facing behind the scenes.
“Godwin’s experience brings to light a powerful truth. Everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about. Our actions, even when well-intentioned, can have unforeseen consequences for our colleagues.”
