Gideon Okeke Slams Jim Iyke Again Over Risqué Birthday Tribute to Kate Henshaw

Actor Gideon Okeke has reignited his long-standing feud with Nollywood veteran Jim Iyke, slamming him over a controversial birthday message to actress Kate Henshaw.

Jim Iyke had raised eyebrows on Sunday with a provocative Instagram post marking Henshaw’s 53rd birthday. In a series of photos and a tongue-in-cheek message, he repeatedly used the phrase “F**k you Kate” to reflect on their past relationship—blending nostalgia with innuendo and brash humor.

Among the lines that sparked outrage, Jim joked about his early crush on the actress, saying she treated him like a younger brother despite his desire for something more intimate. He claimed their “love child” would be in their mid-twenties by now and hinted they had eventually been intimate before she moved on with someone else.

While some fans interpreted the post as playful and unfiltered, others found it distasteful—and Gideon Okeke was among the most vocal critics.

Taking to Instagram, the former Tinsel star condemned the message, branding Jim Iyke a “motherf**ka” and a “bonehead.” He questioned why such behavior is tolerated in Nollywood and described it as an example of unchecked arrogance.

“It’s the narcissistic effrontery for me. Such a bonehead. I wonder who puts these people in check,” Gideon wrote. “It’s this kind of rubbish that enables people to be pricks in real life.”

This isn’t the first time Okeke has taken aim at Iyke. Back in December 2024, he mocked him for being “talentless,” criticizing his American accent and calling him a “phoney-ass kneegar” with no acting skills. He also recounted sustaining an injury on the set of a Jim Iyke production—an incident that, according to him, left him needing stitches and months of recovery.

“Sometimes I ask myself, why was it me who got hurt? I guess it’s so nobody else has to take one for the team,” Gideon said at the time, continuing to call Iyke a “small boy.”

The latest episode adds fuel to what has become one of Nollywood’s most public personal rivalries.
