Gattuso Appointed New Head Coach Of Italian National Team

Gennaro Gattuso has been named the new head coach of the Italian national team, following the dismissal of Luciano Spalletti.
The Italian Football Federation confirmed the appointment after Italy’s heavy 3–0 loss to Norway, which led to Spalletti’s exit. Gattuso, a 2006 World Cup winner and former AC Milan star, steps in with the task of turning Italy’s fortunes around.
He brings a wealth of coaching experience, having managed clubs like AC Milan, Napoli—where he won the Coppa Italia in 2020—Valencia, Marseille, and most recently, Hajduk Split.
Gattuso is expected to lead Italy through a crucial phase as they aim to bounce back in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
