Gambian President Adama Barrow Visits Tinubu After Paying Tribute To Late Buhari

President of The Gambia, Adama Barrow, on Friday visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja after offering condolences to the family of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who recently passed away.
Speaking to journalists after the visit, Barrow described Buhari as a “friend, brother, and father figure,” and praised his humility and leadership. “He was a very humble president—a great man, a great leader. His humbleness is something we should all emulate. If we emulate him, I believe it will move Africa to the next level,” he said.

Barrow also reflected on Buhari’s role in safeguarding democracy in The Gambia, crediting the former Nigerian leader for supporting his rise to power and ensuring that the will of the Gambian people was respected. “He contributed to consolidate democracy in our country. Because of this reason, I cannot be ungrateful,” he stated.
He concluded by saying Buhari’s legacy would live on, adding, “We will remember him. He will not be forgotten because he has a legacy—a good legacy.”
