Fulham Triumphs 2-0 Over Spurs to Boost Champions League Hopes

Tottenham’s struggles continued as they fell 2-0 to Fulham, following their Europa League victory over AZ Alkmaar.
Spurs have now won just three of their last 10 league games after midweek European fixtures.
Spurs captain Son Heung-min admitted that the season has been difficult and expressed frustration over dropped points in matches they should have won, including this one.
Fulham’s win lifts them to eighth place, just four points behind the top four and three off the top five, keeping their hopes of a Champions League spot alive. The breakthrough came in the 78th minute when Rodrigo Muniz converted a pass from Andreas Pereira. Ryan Sessegnon sealed the victory late with a brilliant strike against his former club.
Tottenham now finds themselves in 14th place, 10 points off the top half of the table.
