Freddie Leonard Slams Bloggers, Calls for Privacy in Marriage

Nollywood Actor Freddie Leonard has made it clear that he wants his marriage to Peggy Leonard to remain private, addressing bloggers and critics in a strongly-worded statement.
Freddie expressed frustration with constant media intrusion and gossip about their relationship, emphasizing that their marriage is no one else’s business.
Freddie’s statement criticized what he called “idle bloggers” and “empty-headed followers,” accusing them of misusing social media to spread negativity. He pointed out that such interference not only fuels toxic behavior but also distracts from more pressing societal issues like poverty and leadership challenges.
The actor defended his wife, Peggy, against scrutiny over her actions, including her choice of outfits, vacations, and social media activity.
Freddie stressed that their relationship is built on mutual love and understanding, and external opinions hold no weight in their home.
“She can wear short dresses, post photos without me, or not wear her ring, it’s nobody’s business,” he wrote. “Marriage is not slavery, and we live our lives happily without owing anyone an explanation.”
Freddie also addressed accusations stemming from his roles in movies, clarifying that his on-screen actions are purely professional and have no bearing on his real-life character. He urged critics to stop judging him and other actors based on the roles they play.
The Nollywood star concluded by warning that this would be the last time he and Peggy address social media rumors or bloggers. He promised to ignore future negativity, turning the tables by treating baseless gossip as entertainment.
