First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Bestowed with Ugosimba 1 of Enugu Chieftaincy Title

On June 10, 2025, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, was honored with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Ugosimba 1 of Enugu (Jewel of Women Empowerment) by traditional rulers in Enugu State.
The conferment occurred during a vibrant ceremony in Enugu, graced by Governor Peter Mbah, traditional leaders, and other dignitaries.
This distinguished title celebrates her remarkable contributions to advancing women’s empowerment and socioeconomic development across Nigeria through her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

The title, translating to “Jewel of Women Empowerment,” acknowledges Senator Tinubu’s tireless efforts in uplifting women and vulnerable communities through impactful programs in agriculture, education, health, and economic empowerment.
During her visit, she empowered 400 women and young farmers across Enugu’s 17 local councils by providing essential agricultural inputs, including seedlings, fertilizers, pesticides, wheelbarrows, livestock feed, piglets, chicks, and a cassava processor. These efforts, aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, aim to bolster food security and sustainable development in collaboration with state governments.
