Final Year Student Drugged After Boyfriend’s Birthday Party in Abakaliki

A yet-to-be-identified final-year female student has reportedly begun exhibiting strange behaviour after attending a birthday celebration in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
According to a social media post by Nwafor Destiny, the young woman had gone to a birthday party organised for her boyfriend. Shortly after returning from the event, witnesses said she began acting abnormally, sparking concern among onlookers.

Eyewitnesses speculated that she might have been drugged or harmed during the Birthday Party, although no official confirmation has been made regarding the cause of her condition.
At the time of this report, the student’s identity had not been released, and it was unclear whether the matter had been reported to the authorities for further investigation.
Residents have called on security agencies and relevant institutions to look into the incident to establish the facts and ensure the young woman receives appropriate medical attention.
