On 30 December 2024, @OCCRP posted on their X account (Formally Twitter) the 2024 corrupt person of the year and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ranked 3rd most corrupt person in the world.

The list was determined by over 55,000 votes from the reader, journalist, and the members of the OCCRP global network.
The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is a nonprofit investigative reporting platform for 50+ independent media outlets around the world. They publish more than 100 investigations a year. By developing and equipping a global network of investigative journalists and publishing their stories, OCCRP exposes crime and corruption so the public can hold power to account.
Every year, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting (OCCRP) calls for nominations for its people of the year in crime and corruption awards.
Verification
Asiwaju media’s verification showed that the claim is true after thorough investigation, we discovered that a reputable media outlet has also reported it.
Similarly, @PluseNigeria247 posted on X app. The post was headlined, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the 3rd most corrupt leader in the world.”
Also, On 31st of December 2024 The foundation for investigative journalism(FIJ NG) published the same claim.
