Enugu Youths Set Native Doctor’s House, Shrine Ablaze Over Alleged Human Rituals

A native doctor identified as Ezeani, popularly known as “E Dey Play, E Dey Show,” has reportedly been attacked by angry youths in Ezeagu, Enugu State, following allegations of involvement in human rituals.
According to viral posts shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @agnes_nwanneka, a mob of irate youths stormed Ezeani’s residence, setting fire to his house, shrine, and other properties. Multiple videos posted online show scenes of chaos, with large crowds ransacking the property and flames engulfing several structures.
The allegations suggest that Ezeani was using human beings for ritual purposes—a claim that, as of the time of reporting, remains unverified. No concrete evidence has been presented to substantiate the accusations. Reports indicate that Ezeani may have fled the area before the mob arrived.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions across social media. While some users praised the youths’ actions, others condemned the rise of mob justice and called for due process and thorough investigations by the authorities.
