Elon Musk Says Trump Would Have Lost Without Him, Calls Out ‘Ingratitude’

Elon Musk has stirred controversy by claiming that Donald Trump wouldn’t have won the 2024 election without his help.
Taking to X, the billionaire entrepreneur wrote:
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”
He added: “Such ingratitude.”
The remark comes amid growing tension between Musk and the former president, especially after Musk slammed Trump’s latest spending bill as a “disgusting abomination” that would add trillions to the national debt while cutting electric vehicle incentives.
Trump, in turn, reportedly accused Musk of self-interest, suggesting the Tesla CEO only turned on the bill once it threatened his business.
Though the two were once on friendlier terms—with Musk supporting Trump’s 2024 campaign—they now appear to be on a political collision course.
