EBSU Emerges Winner of Prestigious African Moot Court Competition

The Faculty of Law at Ebonyi State University has won the 33rd Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot Court Competition, held in Kigali, Rwanda.
This marks the first time a Nigerian university has taken home the top prize in the African Moot Court Competition history.
Led by Dr. Mrs. Chioma Vivian Iteshi, Director of the Law Clinic, and comprising students Cynthia Nwamaka and Agu Michael Ebeke, the team defeated 63 other Anglophone universities from around the world to emerge victorious.
The competition, which focuses on human rights advocacy, tested the students’ knowledge, skills, and arguments on various human rights issues. The Ebonyi State University team demonstrated exceptional expertise and dedication, impressing judges and participants alike.
