Ebonyi Rep Member Returns N4 Million Amidst Extortion Allegations

A two-term member of the House of Representatives and Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah, is facing backlash for allegedly demanding a N4 million commission from an Ikwo boy who received N24 million in tuition fee support from the governor.
According to reports, the boy (Name withheld), who gained admission into the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, was taken to the governor by Ogah for financial assistance.
Ogah’s actions have sparked outrage, with many calling on him to return the money and allow the boy to pursue his education.
This incident has raised concerns about extortion and corruption in Ebonyi State, where there have been previous reports of police extortion and harassment.
The boy is now stranded, begging for N4 million to augment the remaining N20 million and pay the tuition fee. As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear: the boy’s future should not be jeopardized by alleged extortion.
In a recent development, Godfrey Chikwere announced the return of the N4 million on Facebook, stating.
“Brethren, family of the boy just called me. Hon. has settled immediately”
