Diddy Undergoes Therapy Behind Bars as He Awaits Resentencing

Sean “P Diddy” Combs is reportedly taking steps toward rehabilitation while incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The embattled music mogul is currently enrolled in therapy programs for both drug use and domestic violence as he awaits a crucial resentencing hearing.
Combs is participating in the STOP Program (Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming), which focuses on helping inmates transition back into society and aims to prevent sexual assault, domestic abuse, and dating violence. He is also involved in a separate drug abuse program led by Dr. Harry K. Wexler at the facility.
Sources told TMZ that these efforts reflect Diddy’s attempt to address personal issues while maintaining his innocence on the criminal charges he faces.
Diddy’s legal team has openly acknowledged his history with drug use and violent behavior but insists these matters are unrelated to the federal indictments brought against him. His attorney, Teny Geragos, stated during opening arguments:
“We are telling you right now that he is physical, that he is a drug user, and I’m telling you he had a bit of a different sex life. Is that a federal crime? No.”
She continued:
“You will hear that he got IVs after ingesting drugs. Is that a federal crime? No. He will be responsible. He will be accountable for the things that he did. But we will fight for his freedom throughout the next eight weeks for what he did not do.”
While it remains unclear which substances Diddy allegedly used, prosecutors during the trial presented images from his so-called “freak-off” parties showing drugs such as ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine, and alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax).
The 55-year-old was found guilty on one count—transportation to engage in prostitution—but was acquitted on the RICO and sex trafficking charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all allegations and continues to deny wrongdoing in both criminal and civil cases.
Judge Arun Subramanian has scheduled Diddy’s resentencing hearing for October 3, where he could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
