DG Charges Lagos Corps Members to Embody Discipline, Patriotism

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, Director General, DG, of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has urged Lagos Corps members to exhibit discipline, respect, and patriotism during their service year.
In a virtual address to the corps members at the Lagos Orientation Camp, General Ahmed congratulated them on their academic successes and call-up to serve the nation.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to camp rules and regulations, respecting camp officials, and acquiring skills through the SAED programme.
The NYSC DG also warned the corps members against indulging in cultism, drug abuse, and other vices, stressing that such behavior would not be tolerated. He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of their families, institutions, and the NYSC, and to conduct themselves in a manner that would bring pride to the nation.
General Ahmed’s address is a customary part of the NYSC Orientation Course, aimed at orienting new corps members on the values and expectations of the scheme.
The Lagos Orientation Camp is one of the 37 camps across the country where corps members are undergoing a three-week orientation programme, designed to prepare them for their service year.
