Determination, Passion… The Untold Tale of FUTA Scholar

Abdulwahab Ridwan, a graduate of Industrial mathematics from the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA could not believe he could be the overall best-graduating student when the news came to him.
Although he had envisaged, graduating with first class, however, he never envisaged being the best student of his set.
Speaking with ASIWAJU MEDIA , Ridwan whined over his voyage and expressed his excitement about the remarkable goal. In his words,
“The journey to achieving a first-class degree was fueled by determination, passion, and a commitment to excellence. From the outset, my goal upon entering the University was clear: to graduate with a first-class degree,” he was saying “Alhamdulillah, I achieved this milestone through consistent planning, proper preparation, and faith in God’s guidance,” Ridwan continued.
Scholar Ridwan furthered about the connection with the right mentors and initiatives helped him well in achieving his goals and making his journey less challenging.
“Remarkably, I encountered no significant challenges during my undergraduate studies. I was blessed with exceptional mentors and guidance from individuals who were always available to support me. My family, particularly my elder brother, Mr. Abdulwahab Abdulkadir, provided invaluable support and encouragement. Additionally, I benefited greatly from educational initiatives and support from various foundations, which eased my academic journey and allowed me to focus on my goals.”
He however, encourage the coming ones to have a plan to achieve their goals and keep their trust in the process. Further urged them to be determined and diligent towards their goals.
“Be determined and work diligently toward your aspirations. Set clear goals, plan strategically, and trust in the process. With faith, resilience, and dedication, you can achieve anything you set your heart on.
I never imagined being the second overall Best Graduating Student (BGS). My focus has always been on striving to achieve the best version of myself. I believe that success comes naturally when you are dedicated to continuous self-improvement, hard work, and making the most of every opportunity. My journey was never about competing with others but about pushing my own boundaries and fulfilling my potential. Alhamdulilah, the results have been a reflection of that commitment,” He ended.
