Delta Police Arrest Officers Caught Counting Cash in Viral Video

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four of its personnel filmed in a viral video counting bundles of money inside a patrol vehicle.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said: “The policemen in the embarrassing video have been identified and arrested. They appeared before the Commissioner of Police today.”
He explained that the officers include two senior personnel who have been queried, while two inspectors are currently in detention awaiting an orderly room trial.
The arrests come after widespread public outrage over the video, which showed the policemen casually handling wads of cash while seated in a police patrol van.
Edafe had earlier assured Nigerians that disciplinary action would be taken, stressing that the Command would not overlook such conduct.
