Delta Farmers Celebrate Gains from Oborevwori’s Agricultural Revolution — Ossai

Farmers across Delta State are reaping the dividends of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s aggressive agricultural interventions, according to his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success.
Ossai said the governor has kept his campaign promise of ensuring food security by strategically investing in the agricultural sector and empowering thousands of farmers across the state.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Ossai revealed that Governor Oborevwori approved the release of N1 billion as counterpart funding to the African Union Development Agency–New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD), a move that has directly benefited over 2,000 farmers engaged in crop production, aquaculture, and livestock farming.

“In addition to that,” he noted, “fertilizers and other essential agricultural inputs have been distributed to farmers across all 25 Local Government Areas to further enhance food security and productivity.”
The governor, he added, also empowered 6,020 farmers with critical inputs aimed at boosting yields and strengthening the state’s food supply chain.
“These initiatives have translated into sustainable food security. Farmers are not just receiving support, they are maximizing it — increasing their harvests and contributing significantly to the growth of the state’s agricultural economy,” Ossai said.
According to him, within just two years in office, Governor Oborevwori has laid a solid foundation for a resilient agricultural system that is raising incomes, increasing food availability, and improving the standard of living for thousands of Deltans.
“The results are clear: food production is up, household earnings are rising, and our farmers are thriving,” Ossai concluded.
