Publisher and media personality Dele Momodu has declared that he no longer feels connected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying only his body remains with the opposition group.

Speaking during an interview on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State on Tuesday, the Ovation International publisher lamented the internal crisis plaguing the PDP, which he believes is undermining the party’s chances ahead of the 2027 elections.

“My soul has left the PDP; it’s only my body that remains,” Momodu stated. “If the PDP were united, it could defeat the APC in 2027, but there are too many forces—both internal and external—working against that possibility.”

His remarks come as the PDP continues to lose key figures to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), fueling speculation of further instability within the party.

Momodu also accused the APC of deliberately weakening the opposition through strategic defections and political maneuvering.
