Davido and Wizkid Announce Joint Album and 2025 World Tour

In a landmark moment for African music, Nigerian superstars Davido and Wizkid have officially announced a joint album and an accompanying world tour set for 2025.
The surprise announcement was made late Thursday evening via simultaneous posts on the artists’ social media pages. The teaser featured studio footage and live performances, ending with the message: “Davido x Wizkid: Album & World Tour 2025.”
This marks the first full-length collaborative project between the two Afrobeats icons, whose careers have often been defined by parallel success stories and public rivalry.
Details of the album, including the title and release date, are expected in the coming weeks. Sources close to the project say the album will debut in late 2025, with the world tour launching shortly after from Lagos, Nigeria. The tour is expected to cover major cities across Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia.
Industry analysts are calling it one of the most anticipated music events of the decade, with both artists commanding massive global followings and influence within the growing Afrobeats genre.
Fans and fellow musicians have flooded social media with reactions, describing the announcement as “historic” and “a win for the culture.”
