David Mark Named Interim Chairman, Rauf Aregbesola National Secretary, as ADC Unveils Coalition Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Senate President David Mark has been appointed the interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of a strategic political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made during a high-level coalition meeting held in Abuja. Alongside Mark, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola was named interim National Secretary, while former Minister of Youth and Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, was appointed interim National Publicity Secretary.
The appointments come as the ADC positions itself at the forefront of a broad political coalition aiming to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next election cycle. The party is expected to officially unveil its new leadership and political direction at a formal event scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
