Dangote Petroleum Refinery has dismissed reports of a shutdown, insisting it remains fully operational and continues to supply up to 40 million litres of petrol daily.

In a statement on Friday, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said there has been no suspension of truck loading or disruption in production.

“The Dangote Petroleum Refinery is fully operational. There has been no shutdown, nor has there been any suspension of truck loading activities,” the statement read.

The management explained that the recent sale of Residual Catalytic Oil is a routine business activity, often done in large parcels, and should not be misinterpreted as operational issues.

According to the refinery, it maintains consistent daily supplies of over 40 million litres of PMS and steady diesel deliveries, supported by advanced predictive and preventive maintenance to avoid disruptions.

Routine maintenance, it added, does not affect overall fuel output.

Responding to rumours of possible shortages and price hikes, the refinery challenged those behind the speculation to place immediate orders for up to 40 million litres of PMS and 15 million litres of diesel daily for the next 90 days.
