Cristiano Ronaldo Set To Sign New Two-Year Deal With Al-Nassr Amid Club World Cup Snub

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, extending his stay in the Gulf nation beyond his current deal, which was set to expire at the end of June.
Despite being 40, the Portugal captain continues to perform at the highest level. Sources say a two-year extension is nearly finalized, signaling Ronaldo’s intent to remain with the Riyadh-based club.
Speculation about his future grew last month after Ronaldo posted “the chapter is over” on social media following Al-Nassr’s final Saudi Pro League match of the season. The post led many to believe he was preparing to leave the club.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino later suggested the possibility of Ronaldo joining a club that had qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, after Al-Nassr failed to secure a spot in the tournament, which will be hosted in the United States.
Ronaldo, however, confirmed he had received offers from participating clubs but chose to turn them down.
Following his recent triumph with Portugal in the UEFA Nations League, Ronaldo is now said to be committed to finishing what he started in Saudi Arabia. Reports also suggest he is exploring investment opportunities in the Saudi sports sector.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in early 2023 after his departure from Manchester United. Since then, he has netted 99 goals in 111 appearances, including 35 goals in 41 matches last season, earning him the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot as top scorer.
