Court of Appeal Affirms Aiyedatiwa’s Election as Ondo Governor

The Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo State, has upheld the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
In a ruling delivered on Thursday, the appellate court dismissed the petition challenging the outcome of the poll and affirmed Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, as the duly elected governor of the state.
The court held that the appeal lacked merit, reinforcing the verdict of the election tribunal which had earlier validated the governor’s victory.
