Court Dismisses Case Against Comfort Emmanson Accused Of Unruly Conduct On Ibom Air Flight

An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Ogba, Lagos, has discharged Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger accused of unruly conduct and assaulting airline and airport officials.
Presiding Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami struck out the five-count charge after the police formally applied to withdraw the case.
The Airport Police Command had on Monday, August 11, arraigned Emmanson on allegations of disrupting peace on board, assaulting a crew member, and behaving in a manner capable of breaching public order. She pleaded not guilty at the time.
During Tuesday’s proceedings, Police Prosecutor Oluwabunmi Adeitan informed the court that the complainant and the airline were no longer interested in pursuing the matter, acting on instructions from police authorities.
The Magistrate granted the withdrawal request and ordered Emmanson’s discharge.
