Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez Arrives Nigeria For Three-Day Official Visit

Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Nigeria.
The visit aims to deepen diplomatic and strategic relations between both nations while boosting cooperation in governance, trade, agriculture, energy, education, security, and other sectors.
Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, announced on X that the country would host Márquez from August 30 to September 2, 2025, to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.
“From August 30 to September 2, 2025, Nigeria will host Her Excellency Francia Márquez, Vice President of Colombia, on an official visit to deepen diplomatic and economic cooperation.
This historic engagement will strengthen ties in trade, agriculture, education, energy, culture, and women’s empowerment, opening a new chapter in South-South collaboration.
Together, we are building bridges and shaping a future of shared prosperity.”
