Chukwu Assumes Office as New HOD of Mass Communication

Dr. Joseph Chukwu has formally assumed office as the new Head of Department (HOD) of Mass Communication at Alex Ekwueme Federal University (AE-FUNAI) exactly 10 days after pledging to reposition the department.
According to a statement released by Dr. Chukwu on his social media handle on Wednesday, “Today, I received instruments of authority from my predecessor, Dr. Vin. Odoh, to function as the new HOD of Mass Communication, AEFUNAI, Ebonyi State.”
Dr. Chukwu expressed his gratitude to the university community, saying, “Many thanks to the VC, Prof. Sunday Elom, my colleagues, our students, friends and numerous well-wishers.”
However, he also acknowledged the enormity of the task ahead, appealing for continued support: “Please do not relent in praying for me because left for my personal strength, the weight and demands of the office will crush me.”
As reported earlier by ASIWAJU MEDIA, Dr. Chukwu had outlined his vision for the department of Mass Communication , which includes introducing a postgraduate program, resource verification, establishing a strong alumni network, and collaborating with industry experts and international partners.
With his official assumption of office, the department is expected to witness significant developments in line with Dr. Chukwu’s plans.
