Christian Asaga Nwali Bags Award for Contributions to Community Development

High Chief Arc. Christian Asaga Nwali,Okpata Ozua Oha I of Echara Mkpoke Kingdom, has been honoured with an Excellent Meritorious Award in recognition of his contributions to humanity and community development.
The award was presented on Sunday, June 29, 2025, during the inauguration of the new executives of the Ikwo Development Union (IDU), Anambra State chapter.
The event, held in Anambra, was attended by prominent personalities, including the Special Adviser to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Security Matters, the Anambra State Commander of SARS, Dr. Sam Nte Egwu (National President, IDU), Prof. Eugene N. Nweke, and Dr. Onyechi Nwankwo.

Engr. (Dr.) Uche N. Ogah, State Secretary of the C-Sagas Charity Foundation, received the award on behalf of Chief Nwali. In his remarks, Dr. Ogah thanked the Ndi Ikwo community in Anambra State for the recognition and conveyed Chief Nwali’s appreciation for the honour.

He also assured the gathering of Chief Nwali’s readiness to support the Ikwo Development Union in addressing the challenges highlighted by the new leadership.
The newly inaugurated executives of the union, led by Chief Agbom Moses, were charged with working for the progress and unity of Ikwo indigenes in Anambra State.
Chief Nwali, an industrialist and philanthropist, has been widely recognized for various interventions in education, healthcare, and social welfare initiatives across communities in Ebonyi State and beyond.
