Chief Priest Files Defamation Suit Against Alleged Kenyan Baby Mama Helen Ati

Nigerian celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has filed a defamation suit against a Kenyan woman, Helen Ati, who has publicly claimed to be his baby mama.
The suit, lodged before a Kenyan court, seeks to restrain Ati from making or circulating further defamatory statements against Chief Priest on social media or other public platforms.
According to the court documents, the suit was brought under Sections 1A, 1B, and 3A of the Civil Procedure Act; Order 40 Rules 1, 2, 3, and 4; and Order 51 Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Rules, 2010, alongside Sections 22 and 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018, and Articles 28, 31, 33(3), and 35(2) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
The application reads in part:
“TAKE NOTICE that this Honourable Court shall be moved on the day of 2025, at 8:00 A.M in the forenoon or soon thereafter as counsel for the Plaintiff/Applicant shall be heard, for ORDERS THAT:
- This application be certified urgent and heard ex parte in the first instance.

The court is yet to fix a definitive date for the hearing. Meanwhile, Helen Ati has not made any official statement in response to the legal action.
Chief Priest’s legal move comes amid ongoing online allegations from Ati, who claims the nightlife entrepreneur fathered her child—a claim he has repeatedly denied.
